Healthy Eating

Children staying all day, or those just doing the afternoon session, need to bring a packed lunch with them. We encourage healthy eating and healthy choices at pre-school and we ask that you follow these guidelines when making you child’s lunch.

A leaflet is included with this handbook that will provide you with some ideas to keep your child’s lunches interesting yet healthy.

We specifically ask that no chocolate, sweets or fizzy pop are included in the lunch bags. We also ask that any nuts or nut products are left out, as this avoids any problems for children who may have allergies.

The children are offered a range of healthy snacks during the sessions – fresh fruit and vegetables, toast, bread sticks and crackers and we appreciate any contributions you can provide-please ask a member of staff what we need.
